Certificates of Analysis
No lot is released without a certificate behind it. Every batch is tested by an independent laboratory — Janoshik Analytical or Kovera Labs — for identity by mass spectrometry, purity by HPLC, net content against label claim, heavy metals, endotoxin and fentanyl presence. The certificate for the exact lot in your vial is the one we send you. Not a sample lot, not last quarter’s paperwork, not a number retyped onto a web page.
What every lot is tested for
Peptides are sold on trust because a white powder looks the same whatever is in it. That is exactly why the paperwork matters, and why we will hand it over for any lot you own. The panel below is what the certificate actually reports — not a list of things that could be tested, but the rows printed on the document you receive.
- Identity
- Mass spectrometry confirms the measured molecular weight matches the sequence on the label. This is the test that catches a vial filled with the wrong compound.
- Purity
- HPLC separates the sample and measures the target peak against everything else present. Our peptides are released at ≥ 99%, and the chromatogram showing it is on the certificate.
- Net content
- The vial is checked against its label claim, so a 10mg vial holds 10mg. Under-filling is the quietest way to cut cost in this industry and the hardest for a buyer to detect.
- Heavy metals
- Screened for the metals that carry over from synthesis and purification. A peptide can be chemically pure by HPLC and still carry a contaminant HPLC was never looking for.
- Endotoxin
- Bacterial endotoxin is measured against a ≤ 0.5 EU/mL specification. It survives sterilisation, is invisible in the vial, and no purity figure will reveal it.
- Fentanyl screen
- Every lot is screened for fentanyl presence and must report Not Detected. It is a cross-contamination check the industry mostly does not run, and the one with the worst consequences if it is skipped.
- Vial-to-vial conformity
- Individual vials from the lot are tested separately, not just one pooled sample, so purity and fill are shown to hold across the batch rather than at a single lucky point in it.
- Component breakdown
- For a multi-peptide preparation, each compound is measured against its own label claim — so a blend cannot hide a short-filled component behind a healthy combined total.
- Appearance
- Lyophilised cake condition and colour are recorded, because a collapsed or discoloured cake is the first visible sign of a lot that was handled badly in transit.
Tested per lot, not per product
A certificate covers one specific batch. A new batch means a new test and a new document — the previous lot’s result is never carried forward to cover it.
Independent of us
The analysis is run by a third-party laboratory, not in-house. Its name, the method and the test date are printed on the certificate so you can check the work rather than take our word for it.
Traceable from the vial
The batch number printed on your label is the key. Send us that and we return the certificate for it — usually the same business day.
Where the certificate comes from
PureChain Peptides sources its research compounds from a partner manufacturing and fulfilment facility. Certificates are issued by the independent laboratory that tested the lot, and name that partner as the submitting party — the lot number, the laboratory, the methods and the results are those of the material in your vial. Physical details on the certificate, such as cap colour, describe the vial the laboratory received rather than the PureChain-labelled vial filled from the same lot.
Certificates are released to customers on request rather than posted publicly, which keeps batch documents attached to the people actually holding those vials. Ask for yours at any time — before you order or years afterwards.
